Trucks with dimensions exceeding those shown above will automatically be denied boarding by Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ).

Drivers of trucks with dimensions not exceeding those shown above and holding a special permit with respect to such dimensions are required to contact local ferry management to verify their crossing. In addition to the restrictions in terms of vehicle cross-section and length, other specific considerations may lead to travel being denied or delayed. Contact information for local ferry management is available here

You are required to confirm the approximate date and time of your crossing with local ferry management at least 24 business hours ahead of the expected date of travel. STQ will then forward written authorization for travel.

The truck driver must present this authorization to the STQ boarding attendant, failing which travel will be denied.
