Traverse de Harrington Harbour - Barge Mécatina II Prolongement de la cale sèche et retour en service le 14 août 2017

Québec, le 26 juillet 2017 – La Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ) désire informer sa clientèle que la barge Mécatina II fait face à certains retards dans les travaux de cale sèche à L’Isle-aux-Coudres. Le retour en service sera donc repoussé d’une semaine et la barge reprendra son service de transport de marchandises entre Harrington Harbour et Chevery lundi 14 août 2017.
Le service de remplacement actuellement offert par la barge et le remorqueur de la compagnie Polaris se poursuivra jusqu’au retour en service du NM Mécatina II.
Précisons que les travaux de chantier vont bon train et que ces délais sont occasionnés par l’ajout de travaux qui ne pouvaient être prévus avant la mise en cale sèche de la barge.
La STQ tient à s’excuser des inconvénients occasionnés et remercie la population pour sa compréhension et sa collaboration.

Barge Mécatina II - Dry Dock Extension
Back in Service August 14, 2017
Québec, July 26, 2017 – The Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ) would like to inform its clients that the barge Mecatina II is experiencing delays in her dry dock at the L’Isle-aux-Coudres shipyard. She will be back in service one week later than expected and therefore will resume her cargo transportation between Harrington Harbour and Chevery Monday, August 14, 2017.
Please note that the current service supplied by the Polaris barge and tug will continue until the MV Mécatina II is back in Chevery.
Also note that the dry dock is progressing well and that it would not have been possible to foresee the additional work required on the barge before her dry dock.
The STQ wishes to apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause and thanks the population for their understanding and cooperation.
