MV Armand-Imbeau

Didace Guévremont was born on December 9, 1847 in La Visitation-de-l'Île-Dupas. He will make his mark in the region by being closely involved in municipal politics as well as in civic life, occupying several positions in the decades from 1870 to 1900. He is the first mayor of the new municipality of Saint-Ignace-de -Loyola in 1897.

Throughout his career, he was involved in the development of his community and even in the last years of his life, he continued to be actively involved in municipal politics. Didace Guévremont died on September 30, 1926 in Saint-Pierre de Sorel, at the age of 78.
