Global Description of the Service for Winter 2018

Objective: to give access to perishable foods at a maritime transportation rate.

Route 1: For the residents of Blanc-Sablon, up to Vieux-Fort

Road service by Groupe Morneau from Sept-Îles or Baie-Comeau, via the TransLabrador, up to Blanc-Sablon and Vieux-Fort.

Route 2: For the residents of Kégaska, as well as from La Romaine to Saint-Augustin

Road service by Groupe Morneau from Baie-Comeau or Sept-Îles to Natashquan, continuing up to Kégaska.

Air service from Natashquan to the villages of La Romaine to Saint-Augustin with Air Boréalis and Canadian Helicopters (Harrington Harbour).

Route 3: For the residents of Anticosti Island

Road service by Groupe Morneau to Sept-Îles airport.

Air service by Strait Air from Sept-Îles to Port-Menier.

Important dates

Dates of the Program: from February 5 to April 2, 2018

Deadline to place orders at the authorized suppliers: every Thursday before 4:00 p.m. The first order of the Program must be placed before Thursday February 1, 4:00 p.m.

Delivery date for Lower-North-Shore villages: every Tuesday (possibly Wednesday if greater volumes than expected or bad weather)

Delivery date for Anticosti Island (Port-Menier): every Tuesday (possibly Wednesday if bad weather)

Transportation Rates

The maritime transportation rates will be applied and charged to the consignees for the duration of the program. A minimum rate of $24,09 will be applicable if the volume of the order justifies it.

You must place your orders with the 4 identified suppliers. If you want to add a new supplier to the list, please contact the STQ representatives.

Can a resident directly place an order?

Residents must place their orders at their local merchant.

What are the admissible products?

The admissible products are those accepted under the Nutrition North Canada program. Here is the list of the admissible products
